We play a tournament, The Arkansas Cup, every year in Springdale. This year, it has been set for April 11,12, and 13. We will split into 3 teams-- A, B and C and each team will play 4 games against Springdale's respective A, B and C teams. The winner of the majority of those 12 games wins the Arkansas Cup, which LR has right now. It is on display at Crew Restaurant and Bar on Hwy 10 in the bar area.
If you want to play, I would suggest coming out to the adult league after the first of the year so we can get you assigned to team and part of our organization.
Now I can't speak for the RustyBlades/D league, but I know they have traveled from time to time for tournaments.
We also travel on occasion to Jackson, although we didn't do that this past year. But did host Memphis for a couple of games.
I knew about the Arkansas Cup. Good to hear about the trips to Memphis and Jackson on occasion. Guess you guys are traveling a bit more than i thought so that's cool. I'm working on getting my skates back under me since it's been a few months since i played regularly. I was really getting fed up with the guys and rink where I was playing and that totally soured my hockey experience. But I'm getting psyched again and playing with the blades so far has been a good experience. competition level isn't too fierce so it's a good chance to get back up to par. tuesdays and thursdays may be tough for me though but i'll try to make a few men's league nights once I feel pretty good about my skating again.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are starting to look a bit better for the coming months. So I might be able to come out and give the men's league a try. How many A/B level players do you guys have? That was one of the things that really started to sour me on where I was playing back in MD. We had soooo many A and B players playing with us C level guys it stopped being fun.

Our first line is usually the a/b guys and second lines are b/c guys. Very seldom do we have enough a guys that they skate on the second line, but it does happen from time to time. When it does, they are pretty good about not hot dogging and passing a lot more than shooting. We are a pretty unique bunch of guys in terms or our sportsmanship. I haven't ever seen a men's league group get along this well and try to keep teams as fair as possible. It is not uncommon for us to make a trade before the game starts to keep things even. Biggest discrepancy usually falls to goaltending, but we do pretty good to keep them evened up.
Well, there was a men's league game the other night after one of the D-league games so I stayed and watched a bit to see what the skill levels were like. Ok...so...don't be looking to see me any day soon. The oldest and slowest guys out there were significantly faster and better skaters than me. That's clearly mostly A and high B level skaters. I'm plenty happy with D league...
