Little Rock Gaelic football is growing well. Looks like we might be able to pull together a 4 team summer league. We're going to try to start playing
hurling this fall I think.

Nope...Hurling is not played on ice...that's curling. Hurling is the Irish sport that is the grandfather of our beloved ice hockey. http://www.gaa.ie/page/hurling.html The hockey referred to on this page is field hockey but it is widely believed
that Irish immigrants to Canada brought hurling with them and it developed into ice hockey. The other widely believed origin for ice hockey is that it is
descended from the Scottish game of shinty which itself is directly descended from hurling. So either way you go, ice hockey came from hurling. This is our
